Terms and Conditions

The estimate shall remain open for acceptance in writing for one calendar month from the date hereof, after which it may be subject to modification or withdrawal.
Acceptance in writing constitutes a contract of which our Survey Report, Estimate and Terms and Conditions of Contract form an integral part.
TP UK reserves the right; to if considered necessary, to alter or vary our specifications in order to suit varying site conditions.
TP UK accepts no liability for any damage caused by any representatives of the Company to concealed pipes and electric cables.
Upon the removal of the specified wallplaster and exposure of the brickwork, if it is poor condition and requires repair, we shall report and estimate accordingly.
Unless otherwise stated, no allowance has been made to replace existing skirtingboards, or to renew any defective skirtingboards. Where removal of skirtingboards is specified, no liability is accepted for damage caused to existing skirtingboards, plaster or decorative finishes as a result thereof.
Whilst care will be taken, TP UK will accept no responsibility for wood-block or polished floors that may be scratched or stained during work being carried out.
In the event any work specified involves a party wall it is the clients responsibility to obtain consent from the neighbour concerned that they are in agreement with these works. Receipt of your order will deem this consent to be received.
Floor coverings, furniture and effects should be removed from the area to be treated before the arrival of our operatives. Should it be necessary however, for them to remove any such items we accept no liability for any damage, which may occur during this process. An additional charge will also be made.
If replastering is undertaken by the client, or by a builder under separate
Contract, it must be in accordance with our specification.
In the event of the Council Building Inspector or District Surveyor becoming involved, a supplementary charge will be made for any additional work that may be required outside our specification.
Payment is due as 50% of the acceptance of the estimate. On completion of the work carried out or if it is specified in our Estimate that payment shall be made by stages then payment for each stage shall become due on completion of each stage as notified by TP UK.
TP UK Contractors accepts no responsibility in law for the accuracy or otherwise of this report, if this report has been carried out free of charge.
The estimate enclosed refers only to those works as specified in the areas detailed in the report.
Any additional work found to be necessary at the time of the original works being carried out is not covered by our report and estimates and will be subject to an additional estimate.
All timber waste and rubbish resulting from our works will be cleared from site on full completion of the contract.
Prior to the arrival of our operatives, you should ensure that there is an adequate electricity and water supply available. If electricity is not available, it will be necessary to use a portable generator, which will be subject to an additional charge on the estimate.
Upon acceptance and agreement of a commencement date of work, it is the client’s responsibility under current legislation to inform adjacent property owners as to the nature of any proposed treatments and commencement dates.
During the course of the works, it is recommended that any persons with respiratory problems, young children, pets, fish, should be kept away from the property until at least 48 hours after completion.
